Born in Bologna into a family of musicians, he began studying the cello at the age of 12, under the guidance of his mother. In 2006 he was admitted to the “G. Verdi ” conservatory in Milan in the class of maestro M. Scano, graduating brilliantly in 2010. At the same time he attended numerous master classes held by important teachers such as F. Maggio Ormezowsky, A. Zanin, V. Legisa, S. Ramon and A. Meunier.
He won numerous national and international scholarships and competitions, including the scholarship offered by the Dragoni Foundation in Milan and the prestigious “M. Welcome ”by Vittorio Veneto.
In 2013 he obtained the specialization diploma in cello with full marks in the class of Giovanni Sollima at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome.
From the age of 20 he's invited to collaborate, as first cello, in prestigious orchestras such as the "G. Verdi" and the "I Pomeriggi Musicali" Foundation of Milan, the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Arena Foundation of Verona, the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania and Gran Teatre de Liceu in Barcelona.
From 2013 to 2018 he permanently held, winner of the competition, the role of first solo cello at the Petruzzelli Lirico Sinfonica Foundation in Bari.
He has collaborated with famous conductors, including: Xian Zhang, W. Marshall, A. Vedernikov, J. Axelrod, J. Valcuha, J. Nott, D. Rustioni, A. Fisch, D. Kawka, R. Abbado, A . Lonquich, P. Rophé, J. Webb, E. Stier, J. Bignamini, D. Cohen, G. Bisanti, J. Stockhammer, R. Alessandrini, R. Brogli-Sacher, KH Steffens, G. Gelmetti, R. Palumbo , D. Matheuz, D. Gatti, Z. Mehta, F. Luisi, R. Muti.
As a soloist he performed the Concerto in A minor by R. Schumann with the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano, the Concerto in B minor by A. Dvorak with the Symphony Orchestra of Bari, the Concerto in D major by FJ Haydn, "Violoncelles, Vibrez! " (in duo with the composer Giovanni Sollima) and the Concerto n. 1 by C. Saint-Saens with the Petruzzelli Theater Orchestra of Bari.
He currently collaborates as First Cello with the symphony orchestra of the Massimo Bellini Theater in Catania.
He plays a Panormo cello from the 1800s.
