CURRICULUM

Andrea studied the trumpet with Arrigo Melosi, Pierre Thibaud and Max Sommerhalder.

He began his career in 1984 and has performed as Principal Trumpet and soloist with the most important Italian and European orchestras including: La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra, National Academy of Santa Cecilia, Teatro di San Carlo, Orchestra National de France, NDR Hamburg, Bayerische Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra, WDR Köln, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2000 he was nominated by Maestro Luciano Berio as Principal trumpet of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome.

In 1993 he won the first prize in the “Città di Porcia” International Competition, and the bronze medal in the International Competition of Toulon. In the same year he won the position as Principal Trumpet and soloist in the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra where he played for 30 years with Maestro Zubin Mehta.

Since 2008 he has been the trumpet professor at the ''Rinaldo Franci'' Conservatory in Siena.
