Mirko Caruso

Orchestral Training for Wind Orchestra 

CURRICULUM

Was born in 1984, He started clarinet studies under his father's guidance.
In 2007 he graduated with honors in Master’s degree for Clarinet players at the Conservatory of Music “A. Corelli” in Messina.
In 2009 he graduated with honors in Master’s Degree for Clarinet teachers at the Conservatory o Music “C. Monteverdi” in Cremona.
Over the years he study Clarinet under the guidance of international artists: Calogero Palermo (Solo Clarinet of Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra); Corrado Giuffredi (Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana); Enrico Maria Baroni (Orchestra Italian RAI); Anton Dressler (Soloist). He was won numerous awards in National and International competitions and he was played many concerts of chamber and solo music. 
As a composer and arranger for Concert Band he won National and international composition contests: International Composition Competition of Bertiolo (Ud) with the piece Odyssey (First category); National Composition Contest “Massimo Boario” in Torino; National Composition Contest “City of Mottola”; his works are edited by Mulph Music Pubblisher.
In 2017 he graduated Bechelor’s degree with honors in Composition and Conducting for Wind Orchestra at the Conservatory of Music “A. Corelli” in Messina under the guidance of Lorenzo Della Fonte. He took part in advanced courses with John Corigliano (USA); (Yasuhide Ito (Japan) and Eugene Migliaro Corporon (USA). As a conductor he won numerous awards in National and International competitions for Concert Bands.
He currently holds the position of Clarinet and Wind Ensemble teacher at the High School of Music “G. Verga” in Modica - Italy.
