Vincent Lepape was born in France in Rouen, in 1972.
He began his musical training in this city with Gilbert Moisand and continued with Jacques Mauger before moving at the age of 16 to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. There he studied with Gilles Millière and won the First Prize of Trombone and two First Prizes of Chamber Music in the class of Jean Douay. He perfected his training with Yves Demarle at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris and won the Premier Prix d'excellence in 1992.
He is currently Professor of Trombone at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels, also teaches at the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento in Saluzzo and is first trombone at the Teatro Regio in Turin. With this orchestra he made several recordings for Deutsche Grammophon.
He has collaborated with the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre de Paris, the Paris Opera, the Opéra de Lyon, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Palau de les Arts (Valencia) Moscow Orchestra, Orchestre de Lyon, Orchestre de Cluj (Romania), the Orchestra of Monte Carlo, Opera of Naples, "Capella Andrea Barca." 

He has participated with his quintet Pentabrass in more than 300 concerts throughout the world, and together with Mnozil, Spanish Brass, Epsilon and Belgian Brass, he founded the European Brass Orchestra conducted by Sylvain Cambreling and chaired by Pierre Boulez.

In 2012 he founded the "Quartetto Italiano di Tromboni" with which he performs in Europe and the U.S.A.

He has recorded countless CDs in various formations and in 2006 his first solo CD for Summit Records « Like Me » 
An internationally renowned teacher, he also taught for 10 years at the Conservatory of Valle d'Aosta, training students from all over Italy and abroad, many of whom are now teachers and orchestral musicians in the most important Italian and foreign institutions.
Vincent Lepape was from 2012 to 2014 artistic director of the Masterbrass Palazzolo sull'Oglio festival, since 2017 he has been Artistic Director of the European Trombone Academy and was organizer from 2005 to 2011 of the Pentabrass Festival
He is regularly invited to numerous international juries as well as a lecturer and soloist at symposia and congresses such as Trombonanza (Argentine), International Trombone Festival (Paris), Slider Asia (Hong Kong), Festival Mediterraneen del trombone (Marseille), Festival Europeen du Trombone (Strasbourg)
